In addition to my private practice, I wear a number of other professional hats. In 2000, I was asked by the Foster Parents Association of Spokane to be a Project Director for a grant application to Health and Human Services, to support foster parents in Spokane County. Along with many other dedicated colleagues we were able to successfully design a $1.773 million dollar Health and Human Services grant to support foster parents in Spokane County. From 2001 to the present, I have been the Executive Director of the Spokane Foster Parent Support Program (SFPSP). The SFPSP is responsible for increasing foster parent retention, decreasing unnecessary foster child moves, and decreasing untoward incidents in foster homes. I provide administrative and clinical supervision for the Administrative Director, Office Manager, four full-time Foster Parent Specialists, and an Undergraduate Practicum Student. We have four staff attorneys to assist in foster parent support.
